Interests

What I spend my time on, roughly in order of how much of it they take.

My primary interests are artificial intelligence and human consciousness. Most of what I read and build sits somewhere between the two: how these systems come to behave the way they do, and what that does or does not tell us about how we do.

Beyond those, I follow history, philosophy, psychology, geopolitics, and financial markets. Most of that learning happens on LinkedIn, X, and YouTube, and it is where a lot of my spare attention goes.

I also enjoy teaching and public speaking. Explaining something to an audience is the fastest way I know to find the gaps in my own understanding, which is a large part of why I keep notes here at all.

Away from a screen, I work out (mostly strength training), run, and play sports whenever I get the chance. The ones I play most are table tennis, badminton, and football, in that order, which also happens to be the order of how good I am at each.

I only really enjoy one video game, and that is FIFA, now EA Sports FC.
